The Kimberly Elementary PTA supports and advocates for all students, families, and school staff. We are committed to making our Cub community closer, more active, and better informed. Our programs help create a bond between home and school. The PTA looks forward to your support of and participation in our PTA programs.

To participate in Kimberly PTA-sponsored programs, events, and activities, such as Fall Festival, Skate Night, and Running Club, all families must submit the California State PTA: Parent's Approval, Student, Family, and Participation Waiver.
You must be an RUSD Board-approved volunteer with a negative TB test on file and Live Scan fingerprint clearance through the DOJ to help out on campus during the school day or chaperone a field trip. Instructions to apply and the required paperwork can be found on the District Volunteer Application site.

The Spring Season of running club will start shortly after students return from Winter Break. The official start date will be communicated here and in the Sunday message from Principal Elgan. Running Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the season at 7:25 AM. Only board-approved volunteers will be permitted on campus. Wake up, get moving, and have fun with friends before school starts!
The deadline to purchase the 2025-2026 yearbook to receive 10% is October 31. The deadline to purchase and customize your free 2-page spread that will only print in your student's yearbook is April 29, 2025 to receive it by the day of the school picnic.
Here's the Scoop. Your membership is sweet! We have 271 members, raising $1,287 for our school. The first 3 classes to 100% were Mrs. Boatman's class, Mrs. Marzullo's class, and Mrs. Facio's class. Students will receive a special prize. All classes who reached 100% membership enjoyed an Ice Cream Party from PTA. 100% membership party winners: Mrs. Boatman, Mrs. Marzullo, Mrs. Facio, Mrs. Sprang, Mrs. Blanco, and Mrs. O'Donnell. Thank you to all the families who joined PTA. Donations are the cherry on top! We raised $1,088, and 100% stays at Kimberly. Donors received some sweet swag. Thank you for your generosity!
Running Club, Fall Season: The Fall season of Running Club has come to an end. All participants running at least one mile received a certificate of participation. An award certificate and medal were given to those runners who ran the required mileage for their grade level. Big thanks to Maria Nicolaou and John Halcon for chairing Running Club.
Kimberly Carnival, October 18: The annual Kimberly PTA Fall Festival was a hit! Students and families donned costumes, played games, and enjoyed yummy food from fantastic vendors. The Kimberly Carnival featured game booths run by classes, inflatables, a rock wall from UCR, a DJ, Photo Booth, and performances by the YMCA Youth Circus.
Mt. Sac XC Invitational, October 17: Students competed over famed courses, such as "Valley Loop" and "Switchbacks" at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational. 5th Grade Boys Team came in 3rd place and brought home a medal and award. Check them out in the glass case in the MPR! The 3rd/4th Grade Boys team came in 5th and the 3rd/4th Grade Girls Team came in 8th. Congrats to all the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students who ran in the race and represented Kimberly Elementary. 3rd and 4th grade teams ran 0.8 miles and 5th graders ran a 1.2 mile course. Walk & Roll to School Day, October 8: Students and families joined friends and teachers on Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day to walk with an RPD escort from Prospect Park to Kimberly Elementary. This is a national annual event that promotes active transportation and healthy habits. Thanks to Viam Dinh for greeting students at Gate 1 with a healthy snack from PTA.
Reflections Recognition Night, October 6: This year's theme was "I Belong!" What a wonderful and fitting theme for students to interpret in Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Families enjoyed an open-house art gallery in the MPR. Winning entries advanced to the Redlands Council level. Light refreshments were provided by PTA.
Charleston Wrap Fundraiser: Thank you for helping us exceed our $13k goal! We had $13,324 in sales, raising $4,951.70 for Kimberly PTA. The top two earning classes, Mrs. Sandoval ($943.70) and Mrs. McLeod ($553.60), earned a Jellybean Jamboree and a gift for their teacher. One lucky student won the Giant Plush Snapper and one family won a $200 Gift credit to Charleston Wrap to spend on their site.
Red Robin Dine Out Night: Kimberly families dined for a cause. on September 25. PTA received $135 from the fundraiser, which was 20% back of sales.
Mt. SAC Invitational Training Session: Thank you to Coach Halcon and Coach Nicolaou for the awesome training sessions on 9/14, 9/21, and 10/5. Thank you to the Boltons for the training session on 9/28.
PTA (Not)Kampout, September 19: (Not)Kampout had a few hiccups, but the weather couldn't have been better and families had a great time! 366 preregistered and 97 on-site registered guests enjoyed a BBQ dinner, s'mores dessert, and the Minecraft Movie, thanks to PTA, CNS, and volunteers. We are grateful for the parents and teachers who volunteers and volunteers from National Charity League and Scout Troop 44. Glow items were sold to benefit the 5th grade class. The volunteers make or break events.
Mt. SAC Invitational Training Session, September 14: Thank you to Coach Halcon and Coach Nicolaou for kicking off the training. Athletes are learning about the importance of stretching and staying hydrated. They ran a a course much like the one they will run at Mt. SAC.
Popcorn with the Principal, September 12: Principal Elgan learned from parents what they love most about Kimberly and what they would like to see this year at Kimberly. Thank you to Kimberly PTA board member, Minh Ta-Dinh, for organizing the refreshments for the meeting.
Nicho's Paletas at Gate 2, September 8: Thank you to PTA Board members, Katie Convertino, Rachel Reichmann, and Chris Olsen, who sold tasty paletas from Nicho's at Gate 2. These organized minimum day activities provide opportunities to foster community and engagement.
Chipotle PTA August Dine-Out Night, August 20: That's a wrap! Thank you for rolling in to support our PTA August Dine Out Night! Because of your incredible turnout, we raised $420.99 for our school. Whether you came for the burritos, the guac, or the great company - we're so grateful you were part of it. Thanks for keeping our community strong (and delicious)!
Ice Cream Social, August 14: PTA kicked off the year with a rockin' good time at the Ice Cream Social. PTA provided ice cream sundaes, a gaga ball pit, and live entertainment by Tomorrow's Anthem. A big thank you to the National Charity League volunteers for helping make this long-standing back to school tradition a success!
Monday, August 11: This was a big day! Starting off with Kona Ice after school on the minimum day. PTA earned $75 from their Giveback program. PTA held their first Association meeting in the MPR at Back to School Night. The 2025-2026 programs and budget were approved. Parents got to visit their student's classroom, meet the teacher, and learn about the exciting plans for the year. PTA partnered with Nothing Bundt Cakes to receive 20% of sales. Total earned will be shared soon!
First Day of School: August 7: The first day of school is in the books! Teachers were excited to meet their students and greet parents who were able to walk their child(ren) to class. Following the first day, the campus will be closed, and parents will drop their child(ren) off at the gates. We hope you have a great year! Sign Gypsies of Redlands rocked the Welcome Back signs! Thank you to Chris Olsen, PTA President, for the balloon columns at the gates.
TK/K Orientation: August 6: We welcomed our newest families to our school and the Kimberly Elementary Cub community. These newest Cubs had a VIP welcome, walking down a red carpet to the MPR. TK Orientation was at 10:00am and Kindergarten Orientation at 11:00am. Students walked to their classes with their teacher and got to check out their classroom. They even got a preview of the fun awaiting them at recess!

We are already close to reaching 100 members! The portion of your membership dues that stays with Kimberly PTA helps provide fun, educational, and exciting programs that benefit all students at Kimberly Elementary.
All donations are tax-deductible. 100% of your donations stay at Kimberly Elementary. PTA covers the small fee for any donations made through an online platform (5% through Totem and 1.99%+ $.49 through PayPal).
